Binance Airdrops $1.2 Million in BNB to Assist Users Affected by Flooding in Southern Taiwan
In response to the damage caused by the recent catastrophic heavy rains in southern Taiwan, Binance, the largest virtual asset exchange globally by trading volume and registered users, announced today that it will airdrop BNB tokens valued at up to $1.2 million (approximately NT$35 million) to users in the most severely affected areas.
User identification will be based on the Proof of Address (POA) provided by users on Binance. This applies to the regions that have been particularly impacted, including: Changhua County, Yunlin County, Chiayi County, Tainan City, and Kaohsiung City.
Existing users who have completed POA verification by August 7, 2025, will directly receive BNB tokens worth $80 in their Binance accounts. Additionally, the first 15,000 existing users from the affected regions who complete POA verification between August 7, 2025, and August 20, 2025 (inclusive) will receive BNB tokens worth $30.
The charitable donations are expected to be airdropped to eligible user accounts starting from August 14.

We sincerely wish for every affected individual to return to their former lives as soon as possible.”
