Hitachi launches comprehensive Web3 development support to help enterprises transform
Japanese multinational corporation Hitachi Group’s Hitachi Solutions recently announced that it will start providing “Web3-oriented development support solutions” on October 30. The solution aims to provide enterprises with one-stop support from employee training to commercialization on the Web3 platform, accelerating their entry into the new digital era.
Hitachi Solutions will provide support for enterprises through four stages: “knowledge acquisition,” “business concept creation,” “development and implementation,” and “operation and maintenance.”
First, they will offer basic knowledge training courses on “What is Web3?” and further provide business consulting. Next, they will assist enterprises in creating case studies and provide infrastructure development and maintenance services. For example, they will offer training on the basics of Web3, research support for Web3 applications, blockchain utilization services, and maintenance support for enterprise-grade Ethereum client basics.
Deepening in the blockchain industry, leading the trend in technology application
Since 2016, Hitachi Solutions has been actively involved in the development of blockchain business through collaboration with Hitachi Ltd. and overseas enterprises. Despite many years of experience in the industry, they have been seeking to further enhance their position in the market. The solutions launched this time cover familiar services such as Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud computing based on Hyperledger Besu and Platform as a Service (PaaS), as well as Consensys GoQuorum transaction signers provided by UK-based Web3 Labs.
Hitachi Solutions stated that whether enterprises are new to Web3 and blockchain or looking to verify commercialization, they can provide solutions that meet their needs.
In terms of application cases, the company cited examples such as achieving “local activation” through decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) or issuing independent currencies, “marketing enhancement” through limited quantity of goods, and “supply chain management” through producer verification.
Aiming at future market demands, aiding digital transformation across multiple industries
Hitachi Solutions emphasizes that blockchain technology and Web3 are new IT technologies that can address traditional centralized data management and trust issues. They believe that various industries will need to build new business models utilizing blockchain technology in the future.
In a survey conducted in 2024, the finance and insurance industries showed a high level of interest in “digital currencies and smart contracts”; transportation and postal industries focused on “recording the movement and delivery status of goods”; and the medical and welfare industries required “management of patient and user safety information.”
To support sustainable operations of enterprises, Hitachi Solutions will provide experienced professional consulting and comprehensive solutions. They stated that they will assist enterprises in achieving success in the new digital era through professional teams and abundant resources. In a recent overseas case, the US technology company CattleProof utilized blockchain to prove the traceability of beef cattle, obtaining certification from the US Department of Agriculture, reflecting the gradual global application of blockchain technology across industries.
Therefore, blockchain should not only be used for investment discussions and speculation, as there are still many interesting cases and business models waiting to be explored internationally.
