Taiwan New Double Dog Card Update! December New Benefits Program Revealed at Once

Attention, middle-class individuals! Many cardholders who consider the “Taiwan New Double Dog Card” as their main card, including the GoGo Card and the Flygo Card, will have new benefits for their billing statements starting from December 1.

Among them, the GoGo Card’s highest 3.8% cashback offer for using LINE Pay will end on November 30, causing many netizens to express their disappointment.

According to the latest benefits announced by Taiwan New Bank, it can be seen that both the Black Dog Card (GoGo Card) and the Flying Dog Card (Flygo Card) will have a slight reduction in cashback benefits. In addition to the removal of the Black Dog Card’s 3.8% cashback for using LINE Pay, the Flygo Card will also cancel the cashback for purchases at CPC gas stations and Taiwan High-Speed Rail.

However, for the Black Dog Card, Taiwan New is also introducing a new promotional program that will replace the cashback for using LINE Pay. Starting from December, they will add a maximum 3% Taiwan Point cashback for payments made with “JKO Pay”.

Why remove LINE Pay and turn to collaboration with JKO Pay?

Taiwan New Bank stated that based on data observations, GoGo Card users prefer to use LINE Pay and other mobile payment options for their purchases. JKO Pay covers nearly 80% of the popular consumption scenes among GoGo Card users, such as major convenience stores, Carrefour, CPC gas stations, McDonald’s, and Starbucks.

In addition, JKO Pay is not only Taiwan’s largest electronic payment provider but has also joined the government’s actively promoted “TWQR (Taiwan Quick Response) cross-institutional shared platform”. This platform emphasizes that electronic payment partners can be used in various scenes, including those previously only available for Taiwan Pay, AllPay, and E.SUN Pay, with the possibility of gradually opening up JKO Pay for use.

Is the reduction in GoGo Card’s cashback rate to 3% favorable with the new benefits?

Taiwan New Bank pointed out that in the eight years since the issuance of the GoGo Card, it has accumulated a large number of digital native customers who prefer online shopping. Therefore, in addition to continuing to provide enhanced cashback for popular online shopping platforms such as Shopee, momo, KuPang, PChome, Yahoo, and Amazon, they have added new partners such as Eastern Shopping and Books.com.tw to cover the complete user online shopping scene.

At the same time, taking advantage of the travel boom, they offer a maximum 3% cashback for bookings made on six major accommodation websites, including Agoda, Trip.com, Booking.com, Airbnb, Hotels.com, and Expedia.

Below, “Digital Times” summarizes the changes in benefits for the Double Dog Card:
