The Hamster Kombat game on the messaging app Telegram has become extremely popular among users, and has recently become the third fastest application to reach 150 million users in history, attracting over 200 million users to play within three months.
Pavel Durov, the founder and CEO of Telegram, also strongly supports Hamster Kombat and praises it as a pioneer of the “mini application” trend in his own Telegram channel.
Durov also mentioned that Hamster Kombat will soon launch tokens on the TON blockchain, demonstrating the advantages of blockchain technology to hundreds of millions of people. He even wrote, “A new era is coming, and we are witnessing its arrival.”
This hamster-themed game, similar to the well-known “Notcoin,” is primarily based on a click-to-earn mode. The tokens it will soon airdrop are highly anticipated by the public, as this means that the game’s points can be exchanged for cryptocurrencies and cashed out as fiat currency on exchanges.
In other words, the monetization moment of the hamster game is approaching.

Details of Hamster Kombat token issuance
Regarding token issuance, Hamster Kombat has previously stated that it is expected to take place in July, and the foreign media outlet Decrypt has also confirmed this through a spokesperson for TON. In addition, several well-known cryptocurrency exchanges, including Gate.io, Bitget, and KuCoin, have announced that they will support pre-trading of Hamster Kombat tokens, referring to the token as HMSTR.
With Durov himself directly stating in the Telegram channel that Hamster Kombat tokens will be issued soon, the probability of an airdrop in July seems very high.
According to Decrypt’s report, although it is currently unclear how many Hamster Kombat tokens players will be able to receive, the Hamster Kombat team mentioned in a tweet in early June that their airdrop distribution is not solely based on the number of coins accumulated by players in the game before a certain date.
The post by Hamster Kombat explains that the airdrop will depend on the number of coins generated by users’ hourly earnings (Profit per hour) and other undisclosed activity data, rather than just the amount of coins held by players. The team also emphasized on June 18 that the concept of “hourly earnings from hanging out is more important than existing coin balances.”
Therefore, players need more strategies than just clicking on the screen to earn coins. By reinvesting these coins into upgrades and increasing hourly earnings from hanging out, they can obtain more tokens in Hamster Kombat’s airdrop program.
