SuperBrain mentioned that the iPhone 13, released in 2021, still remains popular among consumers, securing the fifth spot on the list. For high-end models, many people opt for the iPhone 15 series and the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, which focuses on AI features. Regarding mid-range models, the Samsung Galaxy A55 is the most popular choice, while the OPPO A79 dominates the entry-level segment.
SuperBrain’s analysis indicates that the shutdown of 3G networks at the end of June this year has prompted 3G users to upgrade to 4G or 5G network plans, driving a 20% growth in the replacement of entry-level phones priced below 5,000 NT dollars compared to last year.
In terms of contract sales, SuperBrain notes that in the first half of the year, most users opted for 5G data plans combined with phone purchase packages. Over half of consumers buying Android phones chose to pair them with data plans priced at 599 NT dollars or 1399 NT dollars, while 75% of iOS phone buyers selected the 1399 NT dollar data plan.
