Samsung’s AI Folding Phone Arrives!
Samsung has issued an invitation, announcing that the Galaxy Unpacked event will be held in Paris, France, on July 10th at 9 p.m. Taiwan time, as a warm-up for Samsung’s sponsorship of the Paris Olympics.
In addition to the new flagship folding phones, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, a brand-new wearable product, Galaxy Ring, is rumored to make its debut at the event. The smartwatches Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch Ultra, and the latest tablet Galaxy Tab S10 are also expected to be introduced. The invitation reads “Galaxy AI Is Here,” indicating that AI features will be a major focus.

Samsung’s AI folding phone is coming! Highlights of new products
Samsung unveils a plethora of hardware products every year at its second major launch event, including flagship folding phones and wearable devices, with two major highlights expected this time.
Highlight One: AI Folding Phone
According to leaks from 9to5Google, the models Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 may not undergo significant design changes, with the spotlight expected to be on the generative AI feature, Galaxy AI.
Samsung has already integrated AI features into the Galaxy S24 series released earlier this year, including real-time call translation, the “Search Loop” feature in collaboration with Google, and photo editing generation. Samsung previously announced that Galaxy AI will be integrated into the next generation folding phones, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, leveraging the computational capabilities of the latest chips’ NPU to offer more AI functions.

Highlight Two: Smart Ring – Galaxy Ring
Samsung teased the smart ring, Galaxy Ring, at the beginning of the year and is expected to officially unveil this new form of hardware product at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event.
As a member of wearable devices, Galaxy Ring will focus on health tracking features such as heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, respiratory rate, and will provide users with a daily vitality score to help understand their status and schedule rest time.
Location in Paris – Warm-up for the Olympics
Samsung chose Paris, France, as the location for this event, moving the schedule up as a warm-up for the Paris Olympics sponsored by Samsung.
Prior to this, Samsung announced that during the opening ceremony and sailing race on the Seine River, they would use S24 Ultra for full live coverage. During the opening ceremony, with 10,500 athletes aboard 85 national team boats parading, Samsung will set up over 200 S24 Ultra cameras capturing high-definition HDR videos and broadcast in real-time via a 5G network, ensuring image quality, connectivity, and weather conditions after months of research and testing.
