OpenAI recently unveiled its latest GPT-4o model, which is capable of engaging in realistic human-computer conversations, providing instant responses, and delivering natural language with the integration of text and images, taking AI development to the next level!
The era of AI is upon us! As we approach the graduation season this year, taking a look at the current job market, there are already 9,731 job openings with the keyword “AI” on 104 Job Bank. Assuming an average demand of 2.5 people per job, there are already over 24,000 AI-related job opportunities. If we narrow down the keyword to “ChatGPT,” there are 320 relevant job openings, equivalent to approximately 800 jobs.
Chang Pao-ling, Chief Marketing Officer of 104 Job Bank, pointed out that AI-related jobs come in various types, with the highest technical requirements typically found in the development field. Examples include Prompt Engineers (AI ChatGPT prompt engineers), data scientists, AI engineers, algorithm engineers, full-stack engineers, backend software engineers, and more, with monthly salaries ranging up to NT$60,000. Managerial positions can even reach NT$120,000 to NT$150,000, indicating a strong demand for talent.
On the business side, jobs mostly focus on “product application optimization.” For example, AI application project managers are needed in various fields under the e-commerce industry, such as business retail, media, news, pets, e-commerce, and dining, with monthly salaries ranging from NT$50,000 to NT$90,000.
In terms of content production, positions like creative digital directors use ChatGPT generative images in magazine media to create large-scale project videos and assist in industry digital transformation. Salaries for these positions are usually negotiated.
Currently, due to the scarcity of talent in the market, most of these job openings do not require specific experience. Companies are also recruiting undergraduate or graduate interns to prepare for future talent needs.
Pao-ling also observed that as graduation season approaches, AI and ChatGPT have become useful tools for job seekers. Proficiency in using AI software like ChatGPT can be an additional advantage, but it is still important to evaluate the quality of the results. Simply copying and pasting content without showcasing personal knowledge and value may not be effective.
