XueDAO CONNECT Hackathon Schedule Update
The “CONNECT Hackathon,” created by XueDAO, a community of developers from National Taiwan University, is in full swing! With the release of track information, there have been significant updates to the schedule, location, and planning of the CONNECT Hackathon. Participants who have already registered for the hackathon are advised to pay close attention to the latest updates on the CONNECT Hackathon homepage. Updated Event Schedule
We Learn (5/23 – 6/16): This is the workshop period of the hackathon, where participants can learn about Solidity and frontend development. It’s a great opportunity to meet potential teammates!
We CONNECT (6/15-6/27): During this phase, participants will attend independent workshops to gain a deeper understanding of the projects, grading criteria, and have the chance to connect with project organizers.
Let’s Sprint (06/28-06/29): This two-day development sprint camp will provide participants with a venue and catering. Participants can hack on their projects and prepare their pitches, with mentors available to provide assistance.
Rock up Demo Day (06/30): Teams will have the opportunity to present their projects on stage. The winners will be announced within two weeks after the event.

CONNECT Workshops in Full Swing
So far, XueDAO CONNECT Hackathon has received registrations from students from various locations, showing their enthusiasm for blockchain hackathons. Moreover, the Solidity Workshops have been successfully held, guiding students on how to write smart contracts and embody the spirit of “Taiwanese Students Really Can BUIDL” through a combination of physical and online sessions. Students who want to review the workshop content can watch the sessions on YouTube. For those who haven’t registered yet, they can participate in upcoming DApp frontend workshops and workshops for various tracks. By doing so, they can learn practical knowledge, meet like-minded teammates, connect with project organizers, and enjoy the snacks and drinks carefully prepared by XueDAO.

A Glimpse of the Five Hackathon Tracks | Total Prize Pool of Almost 300,000 NTD, Exclusive Internship Opportunities, and Global Hackathon Participation
For participants who have already registered for the hackathon but haven’t decided which track to choose, they can refer to the following explanations to select the most suitable bounty track. SUI-3K
The SUI track focuses on creating applications or tools integrated with the Sui Network. Participants who innovate on the mainnet, testnet, or development network, especially those who integrate Sui’s unique technologies such as zkLogin, Kiosk, Closed-Loop Token, Display, Transfer to Object, Programmable Transaction Block, or DeepBook, will receive additional bonus points.
Olympic (Powered by Zeus)-2K
In addition to the main hackathon, there is also a creative ideation competition where students can build together without the need for programming. Winning teams not only receive generous cash prizes but also have the opportunity to interview for internships at Zeus Network.
Olympic Hackathon
– No specific theme restrictions, as long as you are a student and have a passion for hackathons, you are welcome to submit your project! For teams that lack specific ideas, popular themes such as Consumer Apps, Gaming, DeFi & Payments, DAOs & Communities, Infrastructure, and DePIN are suggested. Building projects on Solana will be given extra points!
Olympic Ideathon (No coding required)
– Based on the ultimate goal of “Assist Solana as a full-chain layer 2,” Zeus Network aims to introduce innovative ideas that are “must to have” to strengthen the Zeus ecosystem and attract users from both the Bitcoin and Solana ecosystems.
Blockchain For Good Alliance (BGA) +Aptos-2K
BGA draws inspiration from the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals and aims to reward innovative projects that use blockchain technology to solve global key issues. For this hackathon, BGA will focus on five main topics: Security and Transparency, Life and Health, Sustainable Development, Global Education Development, and Reducing Inequality. Preferred teams not only receive cash prizes but also have the opportunity to win full sponsorship for airfare and accommodation to attend the BGA Global Final Hackathon in Dubai before December 2024.
Zircuit – 1500 USDC
The Zircuit track is looking for projects that have the potential to bring liquidity from other chains, L2 public goods (such as DAO tools, donations, etc.), projects that provide Web2-like user experiences, projects related to account abstractions, projects that use ZK technology, and projects that are technically innovative and interesting.
ETH Taipei – 500 USDC
The ETH Taipei track focuses on the EVM/ETH ecosystem, including projects related to tooling development. All relevant projects are eligible to participate.
XueDAO has raised a generous prize pool and offers various internship and international sponsorship opportunities. This is the first student-exclusive blockchain hackathon, aiming to attract students from all over Taiwan to showcase their skills.
Regardless of your background or development experience, as long as you are a current student or a graduate within the past two years, and have a curiosity about blockchain technology and a desire to create related products, you are welcome to participate in the XueDAO CONNECT Hackathon. XueDAO will assist with all aspects of participation, including team formation, track selection, and project ideation. Let’s show the world that Taiwanese Students Can BUILD! Currently, XueDAO consists of students from nine major universities in Taiwan, with a majority from National Taiwan University.
