IVS Crypto 2024 is Coming! What to Expect This Year?
The IVS KYOTO Executive Committee, consisting of Headline Japan, IVC, Kyoto Prefecture, and Kyoto City Government, has announced that the largest cryptocurrency summit in Japan, IVS Crypto 2024 KYOTO and JBW Summit, will be held from July 4th to July 6th, 2024, at Kyoto Pulse Plaza, marking the beginning of Japan Blockchain Week.
With the theme “What’s your new adventure?”, IVS Crypto 2023 successfully attracted over 20,000 participants and 300 speakers. The main venue and over 150 peripheral activities provided participants with a comprehensive experience of Kyoto’s charm, solidifying its position as Japan’s largest blockchain summit.
This year, IVS Crypto will focus on the theme “Cross the Boundaries”, exploring the latest developments and prospects of blockchain technology. We will collectively explore the future development of Web3 through various fields such as blockchain games, entertainment content creation, AI, Bitcoin ecology, and DePin. Industry leaders from around the world will also come together to share their insights and experiences.
In addition, as part of Japan Blockchain Week 2024, related events will be held throughout Japan, with an estimated total of over 50,000 participants.

The 1st floor will feature multiple experience areas where participants can personally experience how blockchain technology is integrated into daily life. The content on the 1st floor includes several areas that promote the practical application of blockchain technology and allow participants to experience the integration of the Web3 world into our daily lives.
Web3 Entertainment Zone
Led by SHAKE Entertainment and YGG Japan, this zone combines themes such as gaming, animation, manga, IP, and content creation to provide the most immersive real-world experience of Web3 technology. The entertainment area stage will host panel discussions by gaming experts, player esports competitions, and exclusive content showcases by Vtubers.
Crypto Village
Supported by MURA (operated by Shinsekai Technologies), different themed interactive activities will be held at different times of the day, providing participants with a dynamic interactive environment.
NOX Gallery KYOTO
As Japan’s first physical NFT gallery, Nox Gallery KYOTO will showcase works by top artists from around the world, demonstrating the infinite possibilities of NFT and exploring new forms of art.
2nd Floor and 5th Floor: Realize Web3.0 project financing and establish strategic alliances
The 2nd floor features the VC Meeting Lounge and Elevator Pitch Area, where several collaborating VCs are stationed. Participants can directly showcase their projects and seek advice from potential investors. In addition, the 2nd floor also has an area specifically for business cooperation and partner meetings, providing a private space for exploring strategic alliances.
The Executive Lounge on the 5th floor is an exclusive area for participants holding Executive and Investor passes. Here, participants can engage in business discussions in a quiet and comfortable environment, enjoy light refreshments and beverages, and establish connections and have one-on-one exchanges with other executives and investors.
3rd Floor: Discover projects that lead the future of Web3.0
On July 5th, the Inamori Hall on the 3rd floor will host a full day of Web3-themed exchange activities. Here, startup projects and artistic creations will be showcased, providing an ideal platform for content creators and project developers to interact.
In the morning, the “AI × Web3 Animation Competition” will showcase short animated films created by young creators using AI technology and Virtual Engine. The winning works will receive assistance from Puri Prince and SHAKE Entertainment to advance their animation, manga, and gamification processes. These works will be produced using AI-based models/animation production tools provided by Animechain.ai, and relevant AI model information, IP, and licenses will be managed on the blockchain. Outstanding works will also receive cash prizes to support further development by the creators.
In the afternoon, the “WaveHack Global Demo Day” event will showcase the ongoing projects of the participants. This is the first public demonstration of the WaveHack Global program, and outstanding teams will have the opportunity for further speaking engagements. Additionally, highly evaluated projects will have more opportunities for showcasing at collaborative summits such as EDCON or WebX in the future. The program will ultimately provide a total of $500,000 in funding to 30 projects to promote the practical application and popularization of innovative Web3 technologies.
IVC x Headline Asia Opening Party: TOEI KYOTO STUDIO PARK and Neon Genesis Evangelion Kyoto Base
Another exciting news is that the IVC x Headline Asia Opening Party will be held at TOEI Kyoto Studio Park, featuring a series of thrilling activities, including ninja performances, cosplayer performances, samurai sword battles, and the iconic Neon Genesis Evangelion Kyoto Base! IVC and Headline Asia are committed to providing the most exciting theme park experience in Kyoto. It is worth noting that this represents the first exclusive event to be held at the Neon Genesis Evangelion Kyoto Base.
